Skin Pigmentation

Brown spots (hyperpigmentation) on the skin are problematic for many people. Sun damage is cumulative throughout your life. When the skin becomes inflamed this can cause over production of pigment(melanin) in certain areas of the body. Common areas are face, neck, chest, arms, and hands. This is because these areas are most sun exposed. Many times the hyperpigmentation manifests itself in adulthood even though the damage was done in childhood or adolescence. Some cultures such as the Asian culture view this condition as a sign of aging. The best result I have found for this condition is a combination of salon skin lightening treatments, as well as topical skin bleaching products used daily at home.
